We are excited to be holding another community e-waste recycling drop off event in Devonport.

We are partnering with Devonport Rotary Club on 21st September 10am to 1pm at The Clay Store - Devonport Community Workshop, 27 Lake Road, Devonport.

Bring your e-waste, clean polystyrene and batteries to us for recycling and help provide more work for our Auckland disabled community. 💙

They may not be pretty but these two old machines

They may not be pretty but these two old machines work pretty hard around here at @abilitiesrecycling. They help to compact our soft plastic, cardboard, circuit boards into bales before it’s sent to be recycled. ♻️♻️

Through the funding we receive we are able to provide more people with disabilities fulfilling and meaningful work. Not just for a few months but for their working life. Plus we get to save more and more waste going to landfill ♻️

Free courier services will allow us to ship more of our reconditioned laptops which encourages reuse and recycling. The funds we receive by doing this helps employ more people with disabilities

We collect bins full of paper from corporate offices and bring them back to our premises where they are sorted and shredded and sent overseas to be recycled. ♻️

Ever wondered what happens to your e-waste after you drop it off @abilitiesrecycling?

Our role is to break down your old laptops, kettles and TVs into separate parts. We then collect them together into similar components.

We then fill one of these containers and it gets sent to Japan 🇯🇵 ♻️ where it is processed and recycled. The metal casings are separated and recycled here in NZ 🇳🇿 ♻️
